Movies and Shows

This is my list of movies, series's and shows I have streamed that I would recommend. Nothing on this list is bad. To make it on my list, the show has to be entertaining or informative. I tend to favor sci-fi but there a little bit of everything.

The OA

This series has a very very unique plot involving near-death experiences and travel thru alternate worlds of existence.  You never know where its going. Just when you think its getting crazy, it gets crazier.

Sense 8

Very unusual plot involving a group of people who can mentally connect and share their unique skills to get through certain situations. Starts slow but gets interesting midway thru the 1st season as the characters start meshing. Has a fair amount of sex/nudity, but well done.  The ending was just OK as it was mostly action

Orbiter 9

This is a Spanish sci-fi flick. Very well done with an excellent plot and a great ending. You will enjoy it.

Russian Doll

Somewhat similar to 'Groundhog Day,' but a little raunchier. Very entertaining and funny.

Palm Springs

Another 'Groundhog Day,' type movie. This one is by far the funniest and most fun to watch. I laughed a lot.

In the Shadow of the Moon

A suspense thriller murder mystery. Very good plot with time travel and a surprise ending.

TAU

Another suspense thriller where the lady protagonist pits wits against an AI entity created by an evil genius who has captured her for research.

Ex Machina

This is a really great movie. A suspense thriller. Three 'people' - an entrepreneur genius, a young programmer and a female AI robot entity match wits to see who comes out on top.

Another Life

This is an 'OK' sci-fi series about aliens who come to Earth and a spaceship must be launched to find out why they came. Its a little hokey but I did not regret watching it and am waiting for season 2. As an added bonus, it stars tough lady Starbuck from BattleStar Galactica who is now a little more 'mature.'

Dark Desire

This is a Mexican suspense/murder/psychological thriller series that is pretty good. It has A LOT of sex and nudity almost to the point of being soft porn, but there is a plot - LOL.

Moon

Very good underrated movie about a guy who has been at a lunar mine for three years and his shift is almost over so he is getting ready to return to Earth, but then strange things happen.

Hell on Wheels

Takes place right after the US Civil War and its about the life of those who built the transcontinental railroad. It will remind you that now matter how divided things are now, it was actually much worse in 1866. There's a certain soap opera aspect to it but its pretty good for the most part.
